Last week of term

Posted on December 4, 2017 by Chartfield School in News

I would like to start by reminding you all that there are no clubs after school, after Monday, this week. Breakfast Club will, however, run until the last day of term. Tuesday 5th December is the dress rehearsal; please collect the children from school at 1pm and take them to Birchington Village Centre, Alpha Road, Birchington. Please remember costumes! If you are unable to take your child to the hall, please let us know so that we can arrange a lift of them. You must them collect your child from the hall at 3.30pm; unfortunately, as there are no clubs, nobody will be coming back to school.

The Christmas Play is Wednesday 6th December at 2pm; please collect your child from school at 1.30pm and take them to Birchington Village Centre. If you are unable to attend the Carol Service, we estimate that the afternoon’s events will be finished by 3.30pm.

Thursday is the Christmas lunch and school will finish at 3.30pmo as usual. No lunch boxes will be needed that day, but children will still need a break and a drink if they do not have milk. We shall also be opening the post box this day, so make sure all cards are posted.

Friday is the Christmas Party. All children should come to school in their party clothes. No lunch boxes will be needed again, but the children will still need a break and drink, the same as the Christmas lunch day. We ask that the children are collected at 12.30pm from school and taken to Manston Village Hall for the party and collected from the hall at 3pm.

Holiday Club will run for the first week of the holiday at the cost of £90 per child. If you would like your child to stay, there are still a few places available.

I hope that you all have a peaceful Christmas. I also hope that you are able to spend a few moments thinking about the true meaning of Christmas and I look forward to welcoming you back in January.

Thank you,
Miss Shipley
