The last week of the Summer Term

Posted on July 3, 2017 by Chartfield School in News

I would like to start by reminding you that there are no after school clubs after today. Breakfast Club will be on every morning.

Tuesday (tomorrow, 4th July) is the dress rehearsal. Please collect the children from school at 1pm and take them to Birchington Village Centre, Alpha road, Birchington. Please remember costumes! If you are unable to take your child to the hall, please let us know so that we can arrange a lift for them. You must collect your child from the hall at 3.30pm; unfortunately, as there are no clubs, nobody will be coming back to school.

Speech Day is on Wednesday 5th July at 2pm. Please collect your children from school at 1.30pm and take them to Birchington Village Centre. Please may I politely remind you that young children are not to attend Speech Day. This event is a very emotional time for our Year 6 and it is unfair to have added distractions.

Thursday is Transition Day, the day when all leavers get an opportunity to spend some time at their new schools. I’m sure you would like to join us in wishing them every success for the future.

Friday is the last day of term. School finishes at normal time. Holiday Club will run for the first two weeks of the holiday at the cost of £90 per child per week. If you would like your child to stay, there are still a few places available.

I hope that you all have a lovely summer. I look forward to seeing you all on the first day of term, Tuesday 5th September.

Thank you,
Miss Shipley

IF YOUR CHILD HAS ANY TROPHIES AT HOME FROM LAST SPEECH DAY, PLEASE RETURN THEM TOMORROW.
